Ascalaphus
Ascalaphus was the son of Acheron and Orphne, a nymph who lived in Hades. Ascalaphus became the gardener of Hades and when he told of Persephone eating pomegranate seeds Demeter traps him under a stone. When Heracles comes to the Underworld, he lifts the stone and frees him, bet Demeter changes him into a short eared owl.
